As General Manager, Eric McPhail is chiefly responsible for the on-site management and overall coordination of Interior Stone’s large-scale residential and commercial projects. In this role, he oversees all members of the shop team to ensure that jobs are running on schedule, while also keeping them apprised of any changes in specs or materials along the way. In addition to sustaining this critical dialogue with his craftsmen, the working relationships Eric maintains with builders, contractors, and homeowners alike are equally important to overall success. It is due in large part to Eric’s versatility in accurately and efficiently relaying directives between site and shop that Interior Stone is able to produce the consistent lead times and high-quality end product that the company prides itself on.

Prior to joining Interior Stone as one of its original five members, Eric worked in a managerial position under Joseph McCarthy at his former stone shop, where he focused primarily on estimating jobs and templating. Before moving into this role with the company, Eric gained an initial interest and working knowledge of the business while delivering finished stone pieces to job sites on a part-time basis.

With an original background in Business Management from Merrimack College, Eric opted for the kind of non-corporate setting that would afford him the flexibility to pursue his passion for playing competitive golf. A standout golfer throughout high school and college, Eric continues to compete in many local and national amateur golf tournaments during the season.
